Karla
Surgical Assistant Supervisor

A native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio, Karla has been in the dental profession for 31 years. With experience in cosmetic and general dentistry, periodontics, orthodontics, pedodontics and oral surgery, she has worked for Dr. Mulherin for 20 years. Karla attended The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dental Assisting and graduated in 1979. Upon graduation, she worked at the UT Health Science Center Dental School in the Post Doctoral Periodontics Department as a surgical assistant.

Karla is a Certified Dental Assistant, Registered Dental Assistant, Certified Anesthesia Assistant and she is Implant Certified. She is a member of the Association of Dental Implant Auxiliaries and The National Association of Professional Women. She attends several oral surgery and implant meetings each year.

Karla and her husband have 4 children and they live on Lake Conroe with all of their adorable felines.

Lupe
Surgical Assistant

Lupe started her dental career 21 years ago. Her experience includes pedodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, cosmetic and general dentistry and her favorite, oral surgery.

She received her dental assistant certification from Astrodome Dental Career Center. Lupe is a registered Dental Assistant and Certified in Nitrous Oxide Monitoring by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners. She is registered as an Anesthesia Assistant by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She is an active member of the American Dental Assistants Association and Houston Dental Assistant Association. She joined Dr. Mulherin's team in 2005.

Lupe is married, mother of four and resides in Cypress. She loves spending time with her family and all the great people whom with she works. She enjoys meeting people and helping them with their dental care.

Elizabeth
Surgical Assistant

Born in Hungary, Elizabeth has been in the dental industry for 37 years. Graduated from the University of Dentistry, in Hungary and re-certified in the United States, with experience in general dentistry. In 5-short years, she turned to a life-long career in oral surgery. Currently registered and certified in anesthesia assisting, radiology, and CPR.
 
A former resident of Florida, she has lived in Texas for 3 years. Where she enjoys reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and exploring Texas for all her possibilities.
 
As a fresh addition to the staff, she is excited to join Dr. Mulherin and his wonderful team.

Becky
Patient Account Manager

Becky, a native Houstonian, has enjoyed working for Dr. Mulherin for 25 years.

She started her career in the dental field with an orthodontist in Bryan-College Station in 1981. With her vast experience in insurance billing and coding she also consults with other doctors in the area in regards to managed care and other insurance related issues. She has attended numerous educational seminars over the years.

In her spare time she works out and is also involved in various charities. The one nearest and dearest to her heart is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Becky lives in Magnolia with her two teenagers.

Shelley
Patient Coordinator

Shelley is originally from Chicago, Illinois and was educated at the University of Wisconsin in Madison and worked for the VP of Personnel at G. D. Searle in the Chicago area. She and her husband, Moved to Spring, Texas in 1975. She has worked with Dr. Mulherin since 1987 with an interruption of service to experience the retail gift business as a business owner in the Champions area. Shelley and her family live in Spring/Woodlands/Tomball enjoying her children and grandchildren and their activities, as well as shopping, decorating, exercising and gardening.

Debra
Insurance Coordinator

Debra was born in Arkansas but moved to Texas as soon as she could and has worked for Dr. Mulherin for 21 years. She has a BS and MS in Home Economics from the University of Arkansas.

As your insurance coordinator, she has attended several continuing education courses in insurance related topics.

Debra lives with her husband and three cats in The Woodlands and has son in the United States Air Force.

Sally
Patient Coordinator

Sally is a native Texan who has lived in several locations around the country, but found her way back to Texas to stay. She has worked for Dr. Mulherin, as a Patient Coordinator, since 1989 with an interruption to experience a career in Real Estate. Sally and her husband live in the Magnolia area and enjoy the “country life” with their children and grand-children, as well as their little dog.

Cari
Surgical Assistant

Cari is a native Texan, born and raised in Houston. She has been a Surgical Assistant since April of 2001, is a Registered Dental Assistant, and has taken many continuing education courses. She is also Anesthesia and Dental Radiology certified.

Cari lives in Kingwood with her husband and 3 children.

Kate
Registered Dental Assistant

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Kate moved to Texas in 1976. She holds experience in Orthodontics as well as Oral Surgery. Kate is currently a Registered Dental Assistant in the State of Texas, and is certified in radiology and CPR.

Kate resides in Montgomery County and in her off time enjoys oil painting at her studio in the Heights. She has a passion for Broadway and Theatre, her favorite being “Hair” and “Rent”.

Sherree
Surgical Assistant

Sherree is a Native Texan, born and raised in Houston. She has been a Surgical Assistant since 1996. Sherree is a Registered Dental Assistant, and has taken many continuing education courses. She is also CPR and Radiology certified..

Susan
Dental Assistant & Surgical Assitant

Is a native Texan born and raised in Beaumont, Texas. She is a Registered Dental Assistant with several years experience as a surgical assistant.

Susan now lives in Kingwood Texas. She loves the beach and shopping with friends.

Ty
Dental Assistant

Ty was born in New Jersey but has been a Texan for most of her life. She has been a registered dental assistant for 7 yrs, but has been in the dental profession since 1992.

She holds experience in Oral Hygiene, Prosthodontics, Periodontics, General Dentistry, and Oral Surgery all of which she attributes to proudly serving in the United States Army for 12 years. She is radiology certified and CPR certified.

She lives in Spring, Texas. And enjoys spending time with her husband, three “Babies” dogs and friends.

Kay

Kay is proud to be a native Houstonian and Texan. She has been in the Medical/Dental Profession for over 15 years; 10 of which she feels privileged to have been working with Dr. Mulherin in the Oral Surgical Field. She has worked in difference aspects of the Oral Surgery business including Patient Coordination and Insurance Verification. She enjoys dealing with patients one–on–one and finds meeting new people and asset to her job.

Kay resides in the Spring area with her teenage son and enjoys attending and cheering on his basketball games.

Dot
Accountant

A native Texan, Dot was born in the beautiful Pineywoods of East Texas and is the new Accountant for NHWOSA. She has studied accounting at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, TX as well as Southern Career Institute, Austin, TX and completed the H & R Block Tax Course in Houston. Although she has been in accounting most of her career years, she is new to the medical field.

As well as owning her own business in the past, she has worked for the Farm Credit Systems of Texas, Northpark Suites Hotel in Austin, TX and Marilyn S. Farrell, CPA in Houston.

Dot moved to Houston from Austin in 2004 to be near her daughter. She also has a son who lives in Cleburne, TX, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Living in the Spring area with her dog Squeaky, she loves to play golf, read and enjoys traveling and wearing her many red hats as a member of a very active Red Hat group.

Yumara
Dental & Anesthesia Assistant

Yumara started her dental career 14 years ago. Her experience includes prosthodontics, orthodontics, periodontics, cosmetic and general dentistry and her favorite, oral surgery.

Yumara is a registered Dental Assistant and is registered as an Anesthesia Assistant by the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She joined Dr. Loney’s team in 2011.

Yumara is married, a mother of three and resides in The Woodlands. She loves spending time with her family and taking road trips. She enjoys meeting people and helping them with their dental care needs.
